About Ardager Alany
A unique freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling tournament in Almaty brings together athletes from different generations and countries.
In 2026, the competition reaches a new level with the introduction of a new division for athletes aged 18–34, alongside the traditional veterans category.
For the third consecutive year, the tournament continues to expand its international reach, welcoming wrestlers from the CIS, Europe, and the USA to Almaty.
The prize fund is allocated separately for each weight category, ensuring fair and equal competition for all participants.

Event Description
The "Ardager Alany" competition was created to preserve wrestling traditions and honor veteran men who have dedicated their lives to the sport. For the third consecutive year, it has attracted wrestlers from around the world, becoming one of the largest international veteran wrestling competitions. Participants not only demonstrate their skills and physical conditioning but also pass on their experience to new generations of athletes. In 2025, the competition expands to include team events, adding to its excitement and camaraderie. This event significantly contributes to the development of wrestling in Kazakhstan and beyond, strengthening friendships among athletes from different countries.

On May 8, 2026, from 14:00 to 19:00, a weigh–in ceremony will be held in all weight categories and in all divisions, the entry fee is 30 000 tenge ( 60 USD) from each participant.
Winners in each weight category will be awarded:
